Bethesda, MD - Graphical Networks LLC, today announced the release of netTerrain 2.9.
Graphical Networks netTerrain TM solution is a Data Center and IT Inventory Management solution that simplifies the visualization, management and documentation of the entire Enterprise IT landscape.

- Major improvements for netViz imports (support for positions, icons, backgrounds, and single click imports)
- Microsoft MOM integration to bring server data into netTerrain
- Enhanced Integration Toolkit creator to tie netTerrain device data into data sources not part of the default list
- Excel import now supports more entities (networks, circuits, cards, among other entities)
- Button to export Diagrams to Power Point from the browser
- Visualization, Usability and UI
- Objects can now be deleted from search results
- Ability to edit text fields directly from the web visualization
- Flag to enable/disable field visibility on visualization engine
- Flag to enable/disable field editing for selected inspector fields
- New blinking indicator when user goes up one level on diagram
- Displayed field fonts, colors and offsets now configurable through UI
- Double click on occupied ports yields user to other endpoint with port blinking
- Search
- Ability to search the entire inventory database from the browser (previously the search was only available from the client)
- Ability to search by entity from the browser
- 'Feeling lucky' searches (ability to decorate the search url with a result ordinal that redirects user to the appropriate diagram, for instance the first available result)
- Modeling
- Ability to create nested network hierarchies
- New direct Network to Network link type (also supported by excel bulk import)
- Comments and documents can now be added from the browser
- Security, API and other improvements
- Authentication for web users now supports all types of roles
- Authentication now uses a more robust 160 bit one-way hash encryption algorithm with 'password-free' persistence
- API support for node blinking
- Networks can now force a graph layout on diagram reloading with configurable flag
- Other minor improvements and fixes
