Graphical Networks LLC, today announced the release of netTerrain 2.7 (formerly myGIS).

Graphical Networks netTerrain^TM solution is a Data Center and IT Inventory Management solution that simplifies the visualization, management and documentation of the entire Enterprise IT landscape.

  • Ability to list affected circuits for a selected device, card, port, conduit, duct, cable trunk or cable

  • Ability to switch print templates on or off in visualization engine
  • Support for free text in visualization (through the use of generic nodes)
  • Support for nested hierarchies for networks
  • Full support for line bend points thfrough the browser
  • Cyclical arrow/support buttons
  • Support for font colors in visualization
  • Node and link behaviors: users can launch any SQL command upon node or link double-click
  • Ability to enable/disable fields in the visualization engine through the UI
  • Filters to hide/show diagram backgrounds 'on-the-fly'
  • Filters to hide/show data and power connections 'on-the-fly'
  • Ability to Modify names of fields in the front-end and the visualization through the UI
  • Sorting improvements for summary lists and audit trails
  • Ability to map devices to a network, application or system from the search results

  • Telcordia compliant Synchronous hierarchy for SONET and SDH
  • Support for Virtual Containers to model the connection matrix inside a switch
  • Support for channels and timeslots (created automatically when ports are created)
  • New Outside Plant objects: Ducts, Cable Trunks and their relationships
  • Cable to Cable trunk mapping: users can now create cable trunks inside a duct and associate cables with it
  • Embedded lat/long coordinates for Region and Site maps
