An implementation of netTerrain can be deployed in a matter of weeks, not months.
Graphical Networks provides several ways to import information into netTerrain.
Our Integration Toolkit is included with any netTerrain deployment at no extra cost and comes armed with built-in adapters to third party Network and Asset Management systems, an auto-discovery engine and a utility for excel bulk imports. In addition, a Generic SQL Server import utility to create tier-2 adapters and capture data from Network Management, Asset Management or Service Desk applications, offers a myriad of ways to get the documentation process started.
netTerrain's built-in network discovery utility provides basic auto-discover of networks by selecting an IP Address range.
Graphical Networks' best-of-breed Integration Toolkit with built-in tier-1 adapters to leading Network and Asset Management Systems allows real-time or near real-time import and synchronization of device data with any view of the Data Center Infrastructure Management landscape, leveraging installed Systems, drastically reducing implementation timeframes and ensuring that the Network Inventory data in netTerrain is reconciled with third-party sources.
In all cases, these adapters will be ready to Insert, Update or delete device data using configurable fields for unique name (Asset tags, DNS names, IP addresses, physical addresses, etc) and type reconciliation (machine type). Device configuration and status scheduling can be set up to collect data with a frequency of a few seconds to once a week.
